Present Tackle Junkie and Hoarder of "the goods"

Joe LaBarbera was born and raised in rural northeast PA near the banks of the Susquehanna River. It was there that sparked Joe's love for smallmouth bass fishing. After many years of competing nationally in high school and college as a pole vaulter, Joe transitioned his love for competition and his drive to be successful to a new focus, competitive angling. In 2017, Joe traded in the tin rig and hopped behind the wheel of a 250hp driven fiberglass rocket and started fishing BFLs. Joe placed in the top 20 in his first three events and hasn't looked back. In 2019, Joe designed his first rod for Alpha Angler Rods and continues his efforts with them to this day. In 2021, Joe fished the Bassmaster Northern Opens and will be fishing them again at age 36 in 2022, as well as several other events across the country in his blacked out "Dream Machine" wrapped Phoenix. This summer Joe can also be found coaching youth anglers at all of Kurt Dove's Pro Bass Camps in Texas and upstate New York.
